In 2021, Pegasus reviewed market conditions with a mid to long-term outlook. Gold junior sentiment and gold, in general, continued to deteriorate, and copper was not looking much better.
With all the above in mind, Pegasus leveraged its advisory board and started to explore uranium assets.
Why the shift to uranium?
The uranium industry is small compared to other commodities; one could even say ridiculously small. In addition, greenfield exploration has been stalled for the most part since the 1980s, with production being shut down entirely on some projects. Now, fast forward to carbon-conscious 2022. Consider all of the coal plants and other air pollution-creating energy sources being phased out. What is going to supply the baseload supply for the electrical grid? Nuclear is high up on that list, and the public is becoming more accepting of the idea.
Where does that leave the other Pegasus projects?
The Golden Project is comprised of three properties in southeastern B.C.: Gold Mountain, Vertebrae Ridge, and Punch Bowl. While all three have a lot to offer an investor or geologist, the Vertebrae Ridge claim is a personal favourite. Its early exploration warrants further work, and Pegasus is looking at all options available to get this Project advanced.
The Millionara Project in Nevada, U.S.A, is still under review.
